The shortage of fossil fuel and the deterioration of environment are two big challenges to humankind in 21 century. It is an urgent task for all entrepreneurs and governments in the world to seek replaceable energy. Biological energy is a potential choice in the future. Nowadays biodiesel come mainly from rapeseed¡¢cotton seed ¡¢soybean ¡¢corn oil etc. It is impossible to keep stable oil supply because  those oil are also human food oil and the arable land in earth is not enough to support the human demand. Jatropha curcas, a sun short wood plant with strong roots£¬was used as a pioneer plant to be planted in desert¡¢sand beach¡¢dry valley ¡¢steep slope to protect soil erosion. Jatropha seeds contain more than 30% oil which was used traditionally as cooking¡¢ lighting or generating electric power. Also the biodiesel made from Jatropha oil is suitable for   all present diesel engines and maintain same burning characteristics as traditional diesel with lower air pollution. Without occupying the arable land and with one third production cost, Jatropha curcas can produce more than 1590kg oil per hectare£¬five times higher than soybean£¬and is recommended as a promising energy plant by UN in the world.
